Mounted on wall as fronts or surrounds, the Megaphonix Flat delivers high quality dialogue and effects to bring you the movie soundtrack just as the director intended.
A dedicated home cinema asks more from its loudspeakers than simply producing sound. The Krix Megaphonix In-Wall was developed for rooms where the speaker system must deliver the dynamics of film sound while remaining largely hidden from view. Installed within the wall, it can be positioned behind an acoustically transparent screen for front-channel duties or used as part of a multi-channel surround system.
For a luxury cinema, this concealed approach allows the visual design of the room to remain focused on the screen, architecture and seating rather than visible speaker cabinets. At the same time, the Megaphonix In-Wall uses high-sensitivity drivers and a controlled dispersion design developed specifically for dedicated cinema applications. Its 95dB sensitivity is intended to provide the required cinema output without relying on unusually high amplifier power.
Inside the enclosure, a 255mm bass driver handles the lower and midrange portion of the soundtrack, while a 26mm doped fabric dome tweeter reproduces higher frequencies. The tweeter is coupled to a Krix-designed 90-degree horizontal by 40-degree vertical waveguide, which controls how sound spreads into the room. This is particularly relevant in a cinema because several seats may need to receive consistent sound rather than having the listening experience concentrated at one position.
The result is a loudspeaker intended to become part of the architecture of a professionally planned cinema. Its bass-reflex, front-vented enclosure, braced construction and powder-coated steel front baffle are all designed around permanent in-wall installation. Whether the project is a new dedicated cinema or a carefully planned luxury media room, the Megaphonix In-Wall provides a way to integrate substantial cinema loudspeaker capability without making the equipment the visual focus of the room.

Mounted on wall as fronts or surrounds, the Megaphonix Flat delivers high quality dialogue and effects to bring you the movie soundtrack just as the director intended.
